Payne Fiberglass Fly Rod By South Bend. When Gladding / South Bend purchased Payne, Jim was under contract to produce a line of Fiberglass rods. These rods were made of the best component that were available at the time and the result was a very fine glass rod. This rod came from the Joseph Bates collection when it was sold at Oliver's auction. A great piece of fly fishing history.
Rod is in very nice condition with a few minor dings.
